TWO ARRESTED AFTER SHOOTING MONDAY AFTERNOON

A shooting at the Sanctuary at Jacobs Reserve Apartments on Carriage Hills Blvd. Monday afternoon has resulted in two arrests. Just after 1:30 pm Montgomery County units were dispatched to the shooting. They arrived to find a 25-year-old male with a gunshot to the thigh. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition. A description of a Lincoln Navigator was put out in which a unit quickly became involved in a pursuit of that vehicle. Speeds reached 100 mph as they traveled west on FM 1488. Going through Magnolia they entered Waller County where they were finally stopped near Field Store Road. Two males were arrested. They were identified as Bishop Jesua Ruiz, 28, of 3803 Statesman Drive in Alvin. He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. He has no bond set. Also arrested was Carl Bruce Henegan, 36, of 2726 Skyview Ridge in Houston. He is also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Additional details of the shooting have not yet been released. Ruiz is currently out on four years probation from Harris County on a charge of fraud use and possession of more than fifty items of personal identification items, a first-degree felony in Harris County. He was accused of possessing the social security numbers, and other identifying information of five individuals. Then on May 27, 2021, he was arrested for DWI . He was sentenced to 100 days in the Harris County Jail with 110 days credit.
