MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Tragedy struck Tuesday morning in The Woodlands. Around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Conroe Police Department responded to a crash at 17201 IH-45 S, the Methodist Hospital parking garage, involving three vehicles, including a Tesla. Conroe Police said the investigation revealed a red Tesla was traveling westbound through the parking garage at a high rate of speed and struck a concrete wall. The impact caused a secondary collision when the Tesla struck an unattended silver Hyundai Genesis and an unattended white Ford Fusion.
The Tesla had extensive front-end damage and the driver and front passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle. The driver of the Tesla, 84-year-old Frances Adams, and the passenger, 87-year-old James Adams, suffered extensive injuries from the crash.
MCHD EMS transported Frances Adams to Memorial Herman hospital of The Woodlands, and James Adams to Conroe HCA hospital. Unfortunately, Conroe Police were soon notified Frances and James Adams had both succumbed to their injuries.
The investigation is ongoing by the Conroe Police Department, and they said nothing further will be released at this time.
