At 12:45am Conroe Fire was dispatched to a major accident on North Loop 336 near Airport Road. A Camaro that had been traveling east on Loop 336 at a high rate of speed approached the intersection of Airport Road. A vehicle was stopped at the red light at airport. To avoid collision the Camaro went into the left turn lane and over corrected causing the driver to lose control. THe vehicle went into the ditch and began to flip. It struck the driveway/culvert at the John Deere dealership ejecting both the driver and passenger. The vehicle continued approximately another 100-yards where it burst into flames. The driver, identified as Edgar Jose Garcia, age 19, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, identified as Edwin Javier Garcia, age 17 was transported to HCA Conroe Hospital where he passed Saturday afternoon.
