At 3:09 am, Roman Forest Police were dispatched to a reported major accident on Roman Forest Drive. Units arrived to find a 1994 Chevrolet utility truck flipped over. The intoxicated male, identified as Kyle Wayne Davis, had minor injuries and was transported to HCA Kingwood for treatment. Officers did recover several open beer cans in and around the vehicle. The driver told officers he attempted to swerve to avoid a deer in the 25mph speed zone. Officers are still looking at the vehicle, which did not come back stolen but had an EXEMPT license plate. The 2020 registration came back registered in Milam County, Texas.
Just minutes after that crash, a Roman Forest Officer observed another intoxicated male eastbound on Roman Forest Blvd at a high rate of speed and unable to stay in the lane. As he turned onto Apian Way, the officer witnessed him hitting a deer. Juan Carlos Munoz was also arrested for DWI.
