Wednesday morning, just after 10 am, several motorcyclists were enjoying a morning ride on their Harleys going west on FM 2090 between Tommy Smith and Firetower Road. A dog was on the side of the road and appeared to attempt to run out in front of them. One of the motorcyclists slowed down and when he did was struck by one of the groups behind him. The most critical was a man in his 70’s. The other rider was not seriously injured. DPS investigated the crash and was able to view the security video. He depicted exactly like the riders said. However, cameras also showed that before the crash, several other vehicles had to take evasive action over the same dog.
