Liberty County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check on County Road 5260 at County Road 5200. This is in the Santa Fe Subdivision of Colony Ridge just outside Plum Grove. A resident who was checking their mail spotted a blue Honda with two Hispanic teens inside. As the resident approached it was evident they had been shot and were deceased. The bodies were both sent for an autopsy for identification but are believed to be about 15 years old. There is extensive gang activity in that area but it has not been determined if it was gang-related. Texas Rangers are assisting the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation. No other details were available as it is an active investigation.
