WALKER COUNTY, TX– TxDOT will have overnight closures of the IH 45 main lanes in Huntsville to repair roadway pavement. These closures will occur over two nights beginning Wednesday, August 13, 2025, weather permitting. Full closures will be performed in one direction at a time.

Northbound IH 45 Closure

Northbound IH 45 will be closed at Exit 114 (FM 1374/Montgomery Road) on the night of Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. During these times, northbound traffic will be diverted to exit at Exit 114, proceed north along the frontage road, and re-enter IH 45 North just north of Smither Drive.

Southbound IH 45 Closure

Southbound IH 45 will be closed at Exit 115 (FM 1374/Montgomery Road) on night of Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. Southbound traffic will be redirected to exit at Exit 115, continue south on the frontage road, and re-enter IH 45 South near Huntsville Memorial Hospital.

Message boards will be in place advising drivers about the closure and law enforcement officers will be in place to help with the flow of traffic.
