On April 9, 2018 at about 3:15 pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Caney Creek Self-Storage located at 18318 US Highway 69, New Caney, TX in reference to a theft of a vehicle.
Upon Deputies arrival they met with the manager who advised that he had a vehicle stolen from the property. The manager advised that when he returned to work on to work on April 9, 2018, he saw the after hour key drop box for the U-Haul vehicles had been broken into.
Upon reviewing the video security footage he observed that on April 7, 2018, at 11:20 pm a white male wearing a blue in color hoodie with blue jean pants riding a light blue bicycle approach the after hour drop box. On April 8, 2018, at about 7:21 am, the suspect returned and stole the U-Haul truck with AZ plate #AE74909 with truck ID DC1507F. The male suspect is believed to be from the area.
