My guess is the dog is probably a problem dog that runs loose chasing people and killing other people’s pets. The guy probably had enough of it, if it’s like in Montgomery county where you call animal control after a habitually loose dog kills pets during a rampage, but animal control won’t do anything. Call the police, and they won’t do anything. That only leaves this option- citizens take matters into their own hands. Last time this happened in my neighborhood, the Sheriff’s office came out and told me just shoot the dog if it comes back, lol.
