UPDATE CLEVELAND WRONG WAY DRIVER

On Monday, August 3, 2015 at approximately 6:44 pm the Cleveland Police Department received multiple calls in reference to a white Dodge truck traveling south in the northbound lanes of US Hwy 59 at a high rate of speed.

Before Officers could locate the vehicle it had struck multiple vehicles starting at FM 2025, near the SH 105 off ramp adjacent to a local motel and then was involved in a head-on collision immediately before the SH 105 bypass. The accident scene caused the northbound lanes of US Hwy 59 to be shut down for approximately 2 hours. Two patients were transported to area hospitals, including the wrong way driver, who has been identified as Linda Chavers Bartlett, 46 yoa, of Conroe, Texas. Ms. Bartlett was transported by Montgomery County ground ambulance and the driver of one of the other vehicles , identified as Shelley Brianne Potter, 25 yoa, of Magnolia, Texas was flown by Memorial Hermann Life Flight. Both are said to be in stable condition. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
