On June 24, 2025, at approximately 1:19 pm, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 19000 block of Rustic Lane, in the Woodland Lakes Subdivision in  Magnolia in reference to a shooting. Preliminary investigation indicates a disturbance occurred between the resident and a fiber cable installation worker. The disturbance escalated, and the homeowner shot the worker multiple times. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and representatives of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office responded to the scene. THe victim is in stable condition at Memorial Hermann  in The Woodlands. At this time, no further details are available to be released.
