On Thursday, June 12, 2025, at about 4:34 a.m., Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a report of an assault in progress at a residence in the North Grove Subdivision, located off FM 2978 in Magnolia, Texas.
Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with the victim, who alleged she had been assaulted, strangled, and threatened by her fiancé, identified as 33-year-old Jimmie Ward. Based on the information and statements provided during the investigation, Ward was taken into custody without further incident.
Jimmie Ward was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail and booked on charges of Assault Family Violence Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third-degree felony under Texas law. At the victim’s request, an Emergency Protective Order was also filed to ensure her immediate safety and provide ongoing protection.
