According to Brazoria County Sheriff Bo Stallman and the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Oninda Romelus, a Porter resident, has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the shooting that claimed the lives of her 13-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter. Two other children, ages 8 and 9, were also injured and are expected to recover.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office continues to assist Sheriff Stallman and the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office as they work through this investigation. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Montgomery County District Attorneys’ Office assisted with the execution of a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in Porter.
