UPDATE ON SHENANDOAH DENNY’S ROBBERY

Just after 3:30 am 2 black males entered the Dennys at Research and I-45 in Shenandoah. One male immediately ordered a server to the ground at gunpoint and took her cell phone.. The other male ordered the manager at gunpoint to open and empty the safe into a sack. He then went into the restaurant and approached 2 elderly patrons at gunpoint to give him cash and jewelry, they refused. Both then fled the building into a 1999 white Chevrolet Suburban occupied by a getaway driver. A call came into 911 as the caller saw the robbery in progress. A Shenandoah unit was around the corner and as he approached the Denny’s the suburban was fleeing with no headlights. A pursuit started down I-45 to Hardy Toll Road then down to the Airport Connector. Several units were involved in the pursuit including MCSO, DPS, Shenandoah and Precinct 3 Constables. It was at the Airport Connector and JFK where they crashed and fled into the woods. Harris County and Houston Police both responded with K-9 and a search was started. One male attempted to exit the woods and unsuccessfully carjack a motorist. As the search wound down and the dogs were leaving one of the males was spotted and taken into custody by Houston Police. Another male who was described as sweating and not wearing one shoe carjacked another motorist at the Valero at JFK and Greens ROad. He stole a 2002 white Chevrolet Suburban with paper tags. A report was made of another stolen vehicle which police are attempting to learn if a suspect is involved in the theft of that vehicle also.
