Ryan Simpson, the Splendora police officer involved in the crash with the 18-wheeler continues to improve. He was moved to a regular room for a short time this weekend but has been returned to ICU. In the coming days he will face at least one more surgery and then at least 18 months of recovery.
A big thank you to everyone who attended the benefit last Sunday at the Splendora softball fields. Almost $10,000 was raised. Thank you to people who donated food, money, items for auction and those who attended.
There will be another benefit on April 15, in Splendora at MUD BUGS on FM 2090. This will be a crawfish boil. Everyone is encouraged to attend. We will update with additional details.
