UPDATE – Only Hours Left to Save This Boy!

Don’t let today be the end for Rodeo!

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- We at MCPR aren’t part of the Animal Shelter – We just do what we can to help find homes for four-legged folks who haven’t found the right humans yet. This time, unfortunately, we dropped the ball and now Rodeo, the boy in these pics, only has until today – Sunday – at 5 p.m. to find a home or be euthanized.

Rodeo is a 3-year-old neutered male, who’s just under 59 lbs. and heartworm negative!
Rodeo is easy to leash and take outside, which he loves because that’s when he gets to use his extra energy! He doesn’t seem to have any issues with the dogs in adjacent yards during play time and he loves showing off his signature “head tilt” and “sitting” on command. He’s also very enthusiastic about treats, but gently when receiving them.
When Rodeo first arrived at the Shelter, he had a kennelmate and was fine with it, but he no longer seems to enjoy having another dog in the same kennel, so he’d probably be ideal for someone who only wanted one bestie.
With the work on the website and the site being up and down and extra work this week, we simply missed the MCAS volunteer’s message updating us on the pups we posted the other day as last-minute pleas. There were five of them, and all of them were saved from being euthanized since we posted, EXCEPT for Rodeo. He’s a sweetheart and a volunteer favorite. As you can see in the pics, he’s great with people. It would be a tragedy if he lost his life tomorrow, when we know there’s SOMEONE out there who would love to have Rodeo and they haven’t gone to the Shelter because we failed to get the word out enough.
If you’re reading this, please share it with anyone you think might be a good match for Rodeo. Today, Sunday 6/16/24, he’ll be on the porch at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter – Conroe, Texas (mcaspets.org) hoping someone saves his life by 5 p.m. (If it’s you, PLEASE send us a message and selfie so we know! We won’t post it if you don’t want us to, but we’d sleep better knowing we didn’t let Rodeo down the most important day of his life.)
Rodeo’s MCAS ID number is A396432
