A three-vehicle crash about 5:51 am, Wednesday morning on State Highway 105 and FM 362 in Grimes County left one woman dead and four others injured, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.  DPS Troopers say a Ford Ranger failed to yield at a stop sign while attempting to enter SH 105 from FM 362. The Ranger was struck by an eastbound Ford Expedition, which then veered into the westbound lanes and collided with a Chevrolet pickup truck. A passenger in the Expedition, 76-year-old Patricia Taylor of Bryan, was pronounced dead at the scene by Grimes County Justice of the Peace Mark Laughlin. The driver of the Expedition was taken to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan with suspected incapacitating injuries. The front seat passenger was transported to Scott & White Hospital in College Station, also with suspected serious injuries. The drivers of both the Ford Ranger and the Chevrolet pickup were also hospitalized at CHI St. Joseph with suspected incapacitating injuries. Authorities say the crash remains under investigation, and no further details have been released.
