445AM UPDATE-SH 249 REMAINS CLOSED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS -TROOPER CRITICAL-A crash has closed SH 249 at Washington (just north of Breen) Harris County is reporting a DPS Trooper was struck by a vehicle. The 43-year-old Trooper is being transported to Memorial Hermann in critical condition. The suspect who struck him fled the scene on foot but has been apprehended IN THE 12800 block of Baniff Mountain Trail. The Trooper was out on traffic and had called for a wrecker for that vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle.
