The man who was killed in the water tower incident in Porter last week has been identified as Felipe Marentes, 50 of Kyle, tx.
Just before 8am Friday crews who are building a new water tower in Porter were attempting to set a large piece of steel when it shifted at the top of the tower. One person was pinned under it and died, a second was critically injured with a chest and arm injury, two others were uninjured. Porter Fire Department and The Woodlands Fire Department brought 3 of the victims down. The fourth who was fatal remained until detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
