Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Robert Adam Howard, 27, died tragically Wednesday May 11, of his injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident while on duty.
Our collective thoughts and prayers go out to Deputy Howards grieving family, loved ones, and colleagues.
Deputy Howard had served with the Sheriff’s Office since 2019.
Deputy Howard worked the evening shift in Patrol District 5 in northwest Harris County, where he served in the Crime Reduction Unit.
In February of this year, he transferred to the new Violent Gang Suppression Unit as a deputy investigator.
The 3-year agency veteran began his law enforcement career with the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office.
His wife and 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter survive him.
