Damage assessment on FM 1486 North of Fm 1774 complete. Firefighters in trucks, planes, helicopters, County equipment and private equipment operators fought all afternoon and night while fire crossed FM 1486 into numerous residential areas but these crews pushed it off and around the home

FM 1486 area will remain closed to further notice. Although the firefighters have saved many homes, there are numerous hazards in the area.

Official Notification from the Magnolia (Montgomery County) Incident Command Post. All of FM 1486 from the High School to Crown Ranch, including Crown Ranch has been assessed. Fire crossed FM 1486, however all but two homes on Country Oaks were saved.
