* At 1048 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. A broad swath of 3 inches with isolated amounts near 5 inches. Flash flooding is ongoing. Numerous reports of flooded roads from around Bryan to Kurten to Madisonville.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include… Northwestern College Station, Bryan, Madisonville, Caldwell, Lovelady, Bedias, Kurten, Wixon Valley, Iola, Chriesman and North Zulch. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
