A crash has just cleared on SH 242 just west of FM 1485. Crews are now arriving to start the HAZMAT clean-up. Motorists are urged to slow down in the area. This scene could last into tomorrow.
About noon a Ford pickup was eastbound on SH 242 just west of FM 1485 pulling a trailer. On the trailer was tile and granite. Due to the weight the trailer started to sway causing the truck to lose control and flip into the ditch full of water. In the truck were close to 100 cans of stain for cabinets. With that and the oil and transmission fluids the entire scene now has to be cleaned by HAZMAT crews. The driver of the truck escaped any injury.
