Two Conroe ISD Schools were vandalized between Thursday evening and Friday morning when someone broke in and caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damage, according to officials. The two schools sit side by side on FM 3083 between FM 2090 and FM 1485 in Grangerland.
On Friday, parents of students attending Grangerland Intermediate School and Milam Elementary received emails from school officials and the same printed letter was sent home with students.
It stated:
Parents and Guardians:
In an effort to keep you informed, we would like to let you know that the fronts of Grangerland Intermediate and Milam Elementary were vandalized last night. This damage will not disrupt the students’ learning environment.
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. If you have any information regarding this situation, please contact Conroe ISD Police Department at 936-709-8911 or 1-888-Kid Chat (543-2428).
Sincerely,

Grangerland Intermediate
Patricia Gonzalez, Principal
Milam ElementaryÂ
Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace James Metts, known for his efforts to steer troubled students in the right direction, was disappointed to hear of the crime.
“It’s unfortunate that people, most likely some of our community’s children, would do such a thing,” Judge Metts said. “They don’t realize or appreciate how blessed they are to live in a country where they’re guaranteed the right to an education, and in an area where we have such nice schools.”
Officials are asking anyone with information to contact law enforcement or Montgomery County Crime Stoppers.
