Vehicle Theft & Really Bad Timing

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Friday, a Deputy with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the Sam’s Club located in the 300 block of E. Richey Dr. in reference to a stolen vehicle. The complainant told Deputies he was walking out of the store when he saw a strange man driving away in his vehicle.

The complainant and other witnesses chased the suspect on foot. The suspect ultimately stopped the vehicle, got out, and tried to run. After a brief foot pursuit, he was apprehended and identified as David Frausto, who was free on bond for Theft and Criminal Trespass from a previous arrest. Further investigation revealed Frausto started the vehicle using a professional key tool that programs it to the vehicle and activates the ignition.

“David Frausto was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft. His bond and court information have not been set at this time,” Constable Mark Herman said.
