Edwards III Education Center.
The morning kicked off with a warm welcome from Executive Director Elizabeth Woods, who emphasized the day’s focus on gratitude and remembrance. Chairman Jimmy C. Edwards III followed with opening remarks, recognizing the dedicated committee, staff, and volunteers who make the park a beacon of honor. A special “Duty Award” was presented to Sylvia for her outstanding contributions, setting a tone of appreciation.
Ceremonial highlights included the Montgomery Fire Department Honor Guard presenting the colors, accompanied by a stirring rendition of the national anthem by James Silva and a musket salute.
