VICTIM IDENTIFIED FROM MONDAYS SHOOTING IN HOUSTON

Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 702 North Sam Houston Parkway service road East (Beltway 8) about 2 a.m. Monday. The victim, Jason Windham, 40, of East Montgomery County suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Northwest Memorial Hermann Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Whitehead and Senior Police Officer B. Nabors reported:

Mr. Windham and his girlfriend were staying at the America’s Best Inn and Suites. At approximately 2 a.m. there was a knock on the door and Windham answered. Several unknown male suspects then forced their way into the room and began to struggle with the victim. During the struggle, the suspect suffered a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
