At 7:17 am on Sunday morning, Magnolia Fire was dispatched to a reported major accident involving a Ford pickup and construction equipment on FM 1488 at SH 249. Units responded to the scene and found a 58-year-old male deceased. According to DPS John Llewellyn of Magnolia was traveling westbound on FM 1488 at an unsafe speed in the construction zone. His 2015 Ford F-150, left the roadway, struck the ditch then vaulted off a piece of construction equipment. He was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
