On Sunday, November 19, 2023, at approximately 2:38 pm, Francisco Tierrablanca’s Ford F-350 became disabled and was partially parked in the outside eastbound lane and the outside shoulder in the 16400 block of State Highway 99. The Ford was towing a trailer at the time it became disabled. Francisco Tierrablanca and his wife, Maria Hernandez, were outside of their vehicle when Jesse Nance, who was operating a 2012 Toyota Tundra eastbound in the outside eastbound lane, struck the back left of the trailer with the front right of his vehicle. Francisco Tierrablanca, who was standing between the back of his vehicle and the trailer, was struck and found on scene with no signs of life. Maria was unharmed and was able to move to safety. Jesse Nance remained on scene and was cooperative with investigators. This case remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
