At 9:30 am Thursday, Magnolia Fire was dispatched to a reported auto pedestrian crash on FM 1774 southbound near Goodson Loop. Units arrived on the scene to find 69-year-old Charles Daniel Reichert of Pinehurst deceased in the roadway. According to DPS Reichert, who uses a walker to assist him, was crossing FM 1774 from his home to the store as he does often. For unknown reasons he stopped in the roadway and was struck by Christopher DeFour, 55, of Sealey, Texas. He was driving a 2022 Ford F250. After he struck Reichert he immediately stopped. Behind him was Kathleen Marie Quick, 67, of Waller. She was unable to stop and struck DeFours’ pickup in the rear.
