DPS investigators say the victim in the Thursday morning fatal crash on FM 1485 at Dry Creek has been identified as Karen Danelle Lord, 39 of Conroe. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle she struck has been identified as Devonne Edward Adams Jr., 28, of New Caney.
ORIGINAL STORY
Just after 2 am, a female was driving north on FM 1485 from New Caney heading toward Conroe in a 2006 Buick. As she approached Dry Creek Road, for unknown reasons, she crossed the center line and struck a Ford Focus head-on. The male driver in the Ford was 28 years old. He was transported to HCA Kingwood in critical condition. EMC Fire and MCHD responded to the scene. The female driver was pronounced deceased on the scene. She was transported by Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. DPS investigated the crash. The road reopened just after 5 am. MCSO and Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables assisted with traffic control.
