Update on FM 2090 crash Sunday night on FM 2090 between Tommy Smith and Crockett Martin
DPS has identified the deceased male as Paul Allen Mills, of Conroe
ORIGINAL STORY
Just after 7:30 pm, a crash was reported on FM 2090 east of Crockett Martin. Caney Creek Fire arrived at a male on the ground with another male performing CPR. DPS and MCSO arrived with MCHD moments later. The male did not survive. According to DPS a male in his 50s had driven a golf cart from the 12000 block on Crockett Martin to the location on FM 2090 just before Tommy Smith. The golf cart apparently ran out of gas while partially in the moving lane of traffic with no lights or reflectors. The driver of a Ford F-150 was eastbound in a Ford F-150 with five children. It had just gotten dark, and the driver did not see the golf cart. The male was standing in front of it. The truck struck the golf cart, pushing it over the victim. The driver of the Ford immediately stopped and went back to the downed male and, after getting him out from under the cart, began CPR. DPS said speed was not a factor in the crash. The golf cart had no lighting or reflectors. The victim was identified as a local resident. He was transported to the Montgomery Coutny Forensic Center for an autopsy. The crash cleared at 10:30 pm just as the next fatal crash was dispatched on SH 242.
