The victim that was shot and killed by Gustavo Whalenberg on Charterwood in Splendora has been identified as Patrick Lee Kelly, 54. He resided at the same address but a separate house on the property.
Both the victim and the suspect had been working with each other during the day when they began to argue. A brief struggle ensued and both parties separated returning to their respective residences.
A short time later the shooting suspect, Gustavo Whalenberg returned to the victim’s residence with a handgun and shot the victim one time in the chest.
