VICTIM ON RAILROAD TRACKS FLOWN TO HOUSTON

At 3 a,m, this morning Splendora Police were investigating a disturbance. As they were searching for one of the persons involved they found a white male on the railroad tracks just north of Ipes Road. A short time earlier the railroad called reporting that an engineer on a southbound train saw a man lying on the tracks.

The white male was lying almost against the rails. A broken guitar in a case was also found. The back of his head had a large gash that at first seemed consistent with getting struck by a railcar. MCHD and Splendoria Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at which time PHI Air Medical was requested to fly the victim to Houston.

Splendora Police are continuing the investigation which now appears to have been an assault.
