SHOOTING CROSSTIMBERS AT CURRY
An investigation into Shooting at 3134 East Crosstimbers
Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men found at 3134 East Crosstimbers about 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday (August 26).

The victims, Terrance Derrell Smith, 36, and Isaac Terrell King, 33, both of Houston, were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Nguyen and W. Huff reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at the above address. Officers arrived and found two males had been shot. According to witnesses, the victims had gotten into an argument with each other and King threatened to kill Smith. King left the location and later returned, armed with a pistol. King then fired several shots and struck Smith. Further investigation determined another unidentified male was at the location at the time of the initial shooting. The male pulled out his own handgun and fired at King, who was struck in the head.

The unidentified male is described only as a black male with a dark complexion, 25 to 30 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds.

ATASCOCITA MAN KILLED TRIMMING TREES NEAR POWER LINES
A homeowner is dead this afternoon after he was trimming trees on the power line easement behind his house on Yellowstone and Grand Teton in Atascocita. According to Harris County Precinct 4, Constables Assistant Chief a 62-year-old homeowner told his wife he was going to trim the trees away from the powerlines which are situated between his home and the community park. His wife saw a flash but never thought anything about it. After some time she got concerned he wasn’t in the house yet and went out to check on him. She found him on the ground, deceased. The Chief said he was trimming the trees when his chain saw came in contact with the main power lines supplying the neighborhood. He estimated the ladder to be at least twelve feet on the length and it was lying on the ground next to the victim.

GRIMES COUNTY PURSUIT AND CRASH CRITICALLY INJURES TWO DEPUTIES
On August 26, 2021, just after 1 am Grimes County Deputies (two-man unit) attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a grey Dodge pickup when the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, failed to yield. A short vehicle pursuit ensued on West Johnson Ave within the city limits of Anderson, Grimes County, Texas. As the suspect rounded a curve on a hill in a wooded section of the road he jumped out and fled on foot. As the deputies topped the hill and rounded the curve they slammed into the blacked-out abandon pickup. The suspect, who was later identified as Cole Miller Reynolds, a 19 year of age male, fled the crash location on foot. The two Deputies suffered serious injuries and one had to be extricated from the vehicle by Fire Department personnel. The two Deputies were transported to CHI St Joseph’s Regional Emergency Room by Air Medical. Reynolds was captured shortly after 6 am on County Road 185. The two Deputies remain in the care of St Joseph’s ER in stable but serious condition.
