POLICE FIND DRUNK DRIVERS BABY BURIED IN BACK SEAT
At approximately 11 p.m. Wednesday night Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputies responded to the Valero at Loop 494 at FM 1314 in Porter to assist another deputy on a traffic stop. When they arrived they learned that Jessica Barber Gutierrez, 40, of 2610 Foliage Green in Kingwood had stopped in the roadway for no apparent reason. She then proceeded into the Valero parking lot and stopped. The deputies approached her they were able to identify her through her drivers license. She then admitted during questioning to have consumed a beer earlier along with Prozac and Xanax. It was then that Sgt. Looza spotted a baby in the back seat buried under clothes and a skateboard. Deputy Looza determined the child was ok and then performed a field sobriety test on Gutierrez which she failed. Se was then placed in custody. She and the 8-month-old little girl were transported to the Constable’s Office for booking. Child Protective Services was contacted and responded to take custody of the child.She also stated she had a 12-year-old child at hope with a new to be 21-year-old room-mate. When asked she was not able to recall the room-mates name. During the booking process Gutierrez stated she had also been smoking Potpourri which she bought at a local business and did not know it was illegal. She was transported to Kingwood Regional Hospital for a blood draw which she consented to and then to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe where she is being held on a $25,000 bond.

PORTER BURGLAR SHOOTING
Just after midnight the owner of the property at FM 1314 and Little Oak received a call that his alarm had gone off. Living close by the property owner and his brother responded to the location which was a former auction facility and was now being used for storage. The structure was fenced with a 6-foot cyclone fence topped with barbed wire. As the owner entered the building he encountered a 41-year-old white make and held him at gunpoint. While talking to the 911 dispatcher a verbal confrontation started between the would be burglar and the property owner. The owner then shot the burglar one time with a shotgun to the right lower quadrant of his body. MCPR was dispatched to the scene and determining the burglar was in critical condition transported him to Ben Taub Hospital in Houston by ground ambulance due to the length of time to get a helicopter to the scene. As of 5 am the burglar is in surgery in stable condition. Detectives remain on the scene investigating. The case is being referred to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges need to be filed.

MAJOR ACCIDENT US 59 AT LAUDER
Just after 10 pm an 18-year-old male was seen by witnesses on the southbound feeder of US 59 at Aldine Bender power braking his Toyota Tundra pickup truck. He then entered the freeway at a high rate of speed, side swiped a vehicle and went across all the southbound lanes of traffic striking the center concrete barrier. His vehicle then bounced off that wall and once again traveled across all main lanes and struck the concrete wall on the right side of the freeway, ejecting the driver. He was transported in critical condition to Ben Taub Hospital by Harris County EMS. The freeway was closed for over an hour as Harris County Sheriff’s Department investigated.494

7 ALLEGED ROBBERS BUSTED FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION IN SW HOUSTON
Seven men suspected of robbing several people in a shopping center have been arrested in southwest Houston.
Police say they were called last night to the 6300 block of Windswept near Hillcroft Avenue after several people reported the men for stealing jewelry and cash from patrons of the strip center.
By the time investigators had arrived, the victims had all left.
Police were able to arrest the seven on public intoxication charges and believe all seven men are the alleged robbers.
Officers say they fear the victims will not come forward to testify against the robbers since it is not uncommon for people in this area of town not to report such crimes.
Victims are encouraged to come forward.

MVA AUTO-PEDESTRIAN FATAL FM 1960 AT HARDY
Just after 1 am Harris County Precinct 4 Constables were dispatched to an auto/pedestrian accident on FM 1960 at Briar Creek in front of Memorial Hills Subdivision. Units arriving were not able to locate it but another unit found the accident about 1 mile west on FM 1960 over the Hardy Toll Road. CCEMSA arrived on the scene with Aldine Fire Department and pronounced the male deceased. According to deputies a male and female were walking over the bridge on FM 1960. Over 10 street lamps were overhead but none were working causing the area to be extremely dark. A male driving a Ford F-250 was eastbound and spotted a woman walking int he road. He swerved but did not see her husband who was dressed in dark clothes. After the crash, the wife of the deceased fled the scene. She was found about 30 minutes later dancing at the intersection of Richey Road and Hardy. HCSO put her in custody and returned her to the scene. The female appeared to be quite impaired. She was taken to the hospital by CCEMSA. During the investigation, several motorists drove around patrol units directing traffic. One vehicle almost ran the body over along with several deputies. Additional units were placed to block traffic but moments later another vehicle went around the block and with at least 5 others following the leader almost drove up into the scene again. The driver of the pickup who struck the deceased did not appear impaired and Precinct 4 does not anticipate any charges. The deceased had a Louisiana drivers license. It was not known if he was homeless or was living in a local motel.

SUNDANCE HEAD WATCH PARTY
Tuesday night hundreds of people watched NBC The Voice as Sundance Head was named the winner of Season 11. Head’s father Roy Head who in 1965 came in close with the Beatles in his hit with the Traits, “Treat Her Right”. His father was in attendance in Hollywood to watch the show. Sundance Head who is a graduate of New Caney High School went many years ago to see “Kiss” perform along with his brother who he lost a short time later. He always loved “Kiss” and tonight was able to perform with them. Three of Sundance Head’s performances were still listed in the top 10 downloads on Itunes this week. Head beat out Team Adam contestants Gilman and Josh Gallagher and Team Alicia’s Wé McDonald. The final members of coach Miley Cyrus’ team were eliminated last week.2240

DRUNK FEMALE ON 3 WHEELS HITS PATROL CAR
About 12:30 am Sunday a Precinct 4 Deputy was assisting Houston Police who were clearing a crash on Northpark Drive just east of I-69. As they were a female driver identified as Chloe Priester, 30, of Kingwood and her husband were southbound on I-69 feeder at Northpark in her Chevrolet Cruze. Her entire right front tire was missing as was her wheel. She was driving on the brake rotor. As she turned the corner she ran into a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Patrol vehicle. Only minor damage was done. DPS was notified and worked the crash. After a field sobriety test, Priester was taken to Kingwood Hospital for a blood draw and then taken to the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Her husband who was a passenger in the vehicle was also intoxicated and after interfering with the scene and investigation was arrested by Houston Police and transported to the Montgomery County Jail for public intoxication.6933
