Three suspects attempted shoplifting in the Walden Walmart at 7:30 p.m. Loss Prevention has two detained. The third assaulted an officer and fled on foot across the parking lot. He is described as a white male wearing a brown jacket and jeans. He was last seen running toward SH 105.

UPDATE: Suspect jumped into a red Honda then fled in the Cape Conroe area. The driver reported that the suspect had asked for a ride and is now cooperating with police.
