WALDEN ROAD CRASH CRITICALLY INJURES ONE

Just after midnight a Mustang GT was southbound on Walden Road at West Palm Beach at a high rate of speed when for unknown reasons he left the roadway hitting a culvert and began to flip. The vehicle came to rest after crashing into a dead tree stump exploding the stump into thousands of pieces.

The driver, 24-years-old of Spring had just left his girlfriends and was enroute home when the accident  occurred. Montgomery Firefighters worked to extricate the driver from the crushed vehicle.

MCHD requested PHI Air Medical to the scene to fly the driver who was suffering from a possible head injury to Hermann Hospital in Houston. The driver was transported in critical condition.

DPS and MCSO closed the road for over and hour to investigate the scene and clean the lengthy debris field which consisted of vehicle debris and rocks and concrete.  Wrecker drivers even deputies chipped in to help reopen the only roadway into Walden.

The drivers name is not being released at this time due to his condition and all family members not being notified.
