…The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a flood warning
for the following rivers…
Bedias Creek near Madisonville affecting the following counties in Texas…
Madison…Walker
For Bedias Creek at Madisonville, Moderate flooding is forecasted.
The current weather is dominated by a band of slow moving thunderstorms
moving across the basin. Rainfall amounts of 4 to 9 inches has fallen
along the creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.
Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route.
Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few
days.

* from early this morning to Tuesday morning…or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0145 AM Sunday the stage was 16.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Forecast…Rise above flood stage by early this morning and continue to rise
to near 21.3 feet by this evening.the river will fall below flood stage by
tomorrow late evening.
* At 21.0 feet…Moderate lowland flooding begins as low lying area along the
creek become inundated.
