A Conroe man caught allegedly recording a young girl inside a Shenandoah store dressing room was indicted Tuesday.
An 11-year-old girl told law enforcement she noticed the man recording her as she was trying on clothes inside a dressing room at the Old Navy in Shenandoah’s Portofino Shopping Center around 3 p.m. June 1. She was shopping at the popular store with her mother, who quickly alerted store employees.
“She saw what she recognized as an Android phone coming over the top of the stall being held by someone,” Shenandoah Assistant Police Chief Barry Gresham said in a previous article in The Courier. “The phone was being pointed at her.”
Employees found the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Eric Alan McClaugherty, of Conroe, who was still in the store. Employees told him to leave as Shenandoah officers were responding.
The officers arrested McClaugherty and gathered his phone for evidence.
