WANTED FUGITIVE CAPTURED

For the past few weeks police, bail bondsmen and bounty hunters have turned up the heat searching for Samuel James Walker. Walker was arrested back in February of 2019 for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. He was charged with two counts. When he did not appear in court earlier this month his two bonds were forfeited and warrants were issued for his arrest. After his photo was posted several tips started to come in. Just before noon today a Bounty Hunter in the Cut-N- Shoot area spotted him in the Crockett Trace Subdivision near SH 105 and Crockett Martin. A short chase and Walker put his orange motorcycle down and fled into the woods. Cut and Shoot and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified and arrived on the scene. Within the hour as the search continued 911 calls started to come in on a suspicious person. One report that a male was in her yard drinking from her water hose. Another that a male was hiding in some bushes. Then on Crockett Bend, a Bounty Hunter got lucky and was able to detain Walker for the Sheriff’s Office. Walker was transported to the Montgomery County jail where he is now being held without bond. He is facing 25 years to life on the charge. This was not his first time in Montgomery County being arrested.
