Saturday evening Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputies went to a home on Live Oak Drive in New Caney to serve two felony warrants. They were able to locate the person and place him under arrest. While there they saw a white 2018 Camaro muscle car which looked out of place for the area. Deputies tried to make contact with the registered owner but were unable to. Shortly after leaving the location, the owner of the vehicle returned the deputies call. He had just learned that his vehicle had been stolen from a local performance shop less than 12-hours earlier. He also told the deputy that the owner of the performance shop responded to the shop and found at least eight other vehicles that had been broken into. The deputies returned to the scene and located most of the stolen items inside the stolen vehicle. A female was at the location also and after reviewing security video from the victims shop she was also identified. At this hour they remain on the scene waiting on a search warrant to check the house for items that were stolen and not recovered. We will update when the additional information is available.
