WATER RESCUE ENDS IN SEVERAL ARRESTS

On May 7, 2018, at approximately 11:30pm, the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables Marine Division was dispatched to an accident that had just occurred on Lake Conroe. Precinct 1 Deputies went to Cagle Boat Ramp and learned that the caller was operating his vessel, at night, in the Caney Creek Area of Lake Conroe when his vessel hit a stump. The boat immediately started taking on water and the operator called 911 for assistance. The vessel continued north in an attempt to reach Cagle Boat Ramp. New Waverly Fire Department launched their rescue team and assisted the occupants of the destressed boat, taking all parties to the Cagle Boat Ramp. Precinct 1 Deputies Constables met with the occupants and conducted an investigation into the boating accident. Through the investigation it was learned that no one had been injured but, the operator was arrested for suspicion of Boating While Intoxicated. Two (2) of the other four (4) occupants had outstanding warrants in Harris and Montgomery County. All parties were arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

Citizens are reminded to use extreme caution at night when operating your boat on Lake Conroe, especially on the north end of the lake.

Arrested: Trevor H. Pistler, W/M, 26yoa, of Bedias Texas was arrested for suspicion of Boating while Intoxicated. Bond set at $1,500.00.

Ryen E. Nichols, W/F, 23yoa, of Conroe, Texas

Megan R. Malone of Spring, Texas were arrested for open warrant unrelated to the boating accident.
