WEATHER POSSIBLY A FACTOR IN CONROE FATAL CRASH

Just after 1 pm Conroe Fire and MCHD responded to a crash at the intersection of Montgomery Park and North Loop 336 in Conroe. A Ford 1 ton pickup was westbound on North Loop 336 in very heavy rain. A passenger car pulled off of Montgomery Park onto Loop 336 and was broadsided by the truck. The driver of the passenger car was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the truck injured his knee but was not transported. Conroe Police are investigating the crash and believe weather and visibility played a factor in the crash. North Loop was closed for just over an hour. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center. Tommys Paint and Body loaded the truck and All Points loaded the passenger car.
