HomeLocal / Area NewsWEEKEND WEATHER UPDATE

WEEKEND WEATHER UPDATE

Looking at a couple of rounds of showers and isolated thunderstorms. The first will be associated with an upper level disturbance Saturday afternoon. The second will be in association with a cool front moving through the region late Saturday night & Sunday morning.

The bulk of precipitation will just be in the form of fast moving showers. But the potential is there for for training rain and isolated tornadoes/waterspouts. Also, winds just above the surface will be 45-55 mph. Even some of the weaker cells could pull some of this wind energy to the surface to produce wind damage.

Improving conditions are expected toward lunch time on Sunday as the front clears things out.
