WEEKLY MCSO REPORT PREPARED BY LT. DAN NORRIS

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On November 29, Deputy K. Berger was patrolling Hwy 105 E and observed a vehicle swerving in the roadway. The Deputy stopped the vehicle in the 13900 block of Hwy 105 E and detected the male driver to be intoxicated. The 49 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:37am, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

A 35 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 9:37pm, November 29, in the 11600 block of Greenridge by Deputy S. Degner for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was on a separate investigation at the time. The male was taken to jail.

A 27 year old male from La Porte was arrested at 10:15pm, November 29, at #1 Criminal Justice Drive by Deputy S. Degner for a possession of marijuana failure to appear warrant out of Montgomery County. The male had come to turn himself in and admitted to smoking marijuana prior to his arrival. He was placed in jail.

A 36 year old female from Willis was arrested at 11:02pm, November 29, in the 11500 block of Persimmon by Deputy C. Santoro for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance. The female was transported to jail.

On November 30, Sgt. J. Varnell was sent to the 13300 block of Brigadier Drive in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she had been slapped by her boyfriend and the slap took her breath away. The male had a previous conviction for family violence assault and an ongoing history of violence. The 32 year old male from Willis was arrested at 12:45am, charged with a third degree felony family violence assault and transported to jail.

On November 30, Deputy J. Kader made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Highline Blvd and Highline Oaks. After identifying the male driver it was learned the male was operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license. The 33 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 2:45pm and transported to jail.

A 50 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 11:14pm, November 30, in the 4700 block of North Duck Creek Road by Deputy K. Underwood for an unlawful solicitation of a minor warrant out of Polk County. The Deputy had received prior information on the male’s location. The male was taken to jail.

On December 1, Sgt. J. Varnell observed a male passed out in his vehicle in the 15100 block of FM 3083. The male was extremely intoxicated. The 51 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:30am and taken to jail.

On December 1, Deputy A. Terrell was dispatched to the 600 block of Ravensworth in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with a female complainant who related that her brother had been drinking and woke her son up and started yelling at him. After the boy left for school the male started a verbal confrontation with the female complainant. The male held her down with his knees and when she was able to get up he pushed her down the stairs injuring her left arm. The 37 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 11:38am and transported to jail.

On December 1, Sgt. P. Smith was notified of a family violence terroristic threat call in the 6800 block of Woodland Lakes Drive. The Deputy met with a male complainant who explained he and his wife were arguing over money and she grabbed a large butcher knife and ran after him threatening to kill him. The complainant was able to defend himself from the knife. The 39 year old female from Willis was arrested at 8:02pm and transported to jail.

On December 1, Deputy S. Degner was sent to the 13900 block of Tanning Lane in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised he and his wife got into an argument over their child’s school work and money. The female got mad and punched him on the mouth. She picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed him four times on the forehead, back, chest and left arm. The fight was broken up by their teenage son who took the knife away. The 33 year old female from Willis was arrested at 10:38pm, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to jail.

On December 4, Deputy K. Underwood stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of FM 1314 and Gulf Coast Road. On speaking with the female driver it was learned her driver’s license was under suspension. During the investigation the female was found to be in possession of two controlled substances. The 19 year old female from Cleveland was arrested at 5:09am charged with the possession and transported to jail.

A 26 year old female from Willis was arrested at 4:30pm, December 4, in the 4500 block of Jennings Road by Deputy K. Albritton for a failure to stop and give information warrant through DPS. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance. The female was transported to jail.

On December 5, Deputy S. Squier observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Calvary Road at a high rate of speed. The Deputy turned around and the vehicle failed to stop for the Deputy continuing into Walnut Cove. The vehicle was stopped in the 10100 block of Barberry and the male driver was found to be intoxicated. A male passenger in the vehicle was also found to be intoxicated. The 38 year old male driver, from The Woodlands was arrested at 12:01am and charged with DWI. The 47 year old male passenger, from Willis, was arrested for public intoxication. Both were taken to jail.

On December 5, Deputy K. Underwood stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 17200 block of Hwy 105E. Upon speaking with the female driver it was learned the female’s driver’s license was under suspension. The 57 year old female from Goodrich was arrested at 2:29am, charged with driving with license invalid and transported to jail. The female had a prior conviction for the same charge.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On December 1, 2010, Deputy Swank responded to a location on Atherstone St. in reference to a fraud investigation. The complainant believed that a family member had taken a check, wrote it to a friend forging the account holder’s singature, and then cashed the check for $460. Deputy Swank then made contact with the suspects, 28 year old Female and 30 year old Male both from The Woodlands. The male suspect admitted to taking and forging the check. He was taken into custody, charged with Forgery, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. The female suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant, for Theft by Check, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 1, 2010, Deputy Everton arrested 20-year-old male from Spring, after conducting a traffic stop on College Park Drive. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputy Everton observed there to be marijuana in the vehicle. During the investigation the suspect, a passenger in the vehicle, was determined to be the owner of the marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. The suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana. The driver of the vehicle received a citation for the original offense and was released at the scene.

On November 2, 2010 at approximately 10:07 am, Deputy Meredith received a burglary call at 25469 Borough Park (Mission Wood Apartments).  Deputy Meredith followed a suspect vehicle and attempted to stop to identify the driver. The driver failed to stop for the deputy and a vehicle pursuit ensued south on I-45. The suspect was seen throwing items out of the driver side window. The pursuit ended in the 21750 block of I-45 feeder.  The suspect, identified as 20-year-old male from Spring, was placed into custody for Evading Arrest or Detention.

On December 2, 2010, Sergeant Barber was dispatched to an Attempt to Locate in the area of Spring Trails and Riley Fuzzel Road where a witness was following an intoxicated driver. Sergeant Barber located the suspect vehicle on Riley Fuzzel near Fox Run Blvd. and saw the car swerve out of its lane of travel and hitting the curb. The driver, 47-year-old Male from Spring, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath, and an unopened can of beer in his jacket pocket. Due to his level of intoxication, the driver was unable to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests correctly and he was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 11/30/10 Deputy Ashmore was dispatched to the Porter Walmart in reference to a shoplifter call. Upon arrival he found that the suspect had attempted to steal $59 worth of merchandise from the store. The suspect, a 34 year old male from Porter was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 12/2/10 Deputy Walker was dispatched to the 17000 block of Pioneer Trail in reference to a Family Violence Past call. Upon his arrival he met with the victim who stated that her husband had assaulted her, threatened to kill her and then went to open a gun cabinet. The victim then fled from the home. The suspect, a 42 year old male from Conroe was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threat and Assault Family Violence.

On 12/4/10 Deputy Martinez was dispatched to the 21000 block on W. Memorial Dr. in reference to a Welfare Check. Upon arrival they found an intoxicated male walking in the roadway. The male was under the influence of an unknown substance. The suspect, a 49 year old male from Porter was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

On 12/5/10 Deputy Amstutz was dispatched to the Sara Deann Ln. in reference to a shots fired call. The caller advised that a suspect had fired several shots from a vehicle toward a residence. Upon the Deputy’s arrival he found the suspect vehicle at a nearby residence and then found the suspect inside hiding in a closet with the loaded shotgun. The suspect, a 32 year old male from Mexico was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Deadly Conduct. An immigration hold was also placed on the suspect.

On 12/5/10 Deputy Dunn was dispatched to the 23000 block of Muskogee in reference to a Family Violence Call. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that the suspect had head butted her causing her pain. The suspect, a 30 year old male from Kingwood was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence and an active warrant for Order of Arrest.

On 12/6/10 Deputy Dunn was dispatched to Keith Dr. in reference to a Burglary in Progress call. Upon arrival he found the suspect in the reported burglaries hiding in the bushes. The suspect was found to be in possession of stolen property from the car burglaries. The suspect, a 28 year old male from Humble was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Criminal Mischief.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On December 4th Sergeant Hernandez and Deputy Overbay conducted a traffic stop on FM 2978 and Greenmoor Driver. While on location two male subjects walked onto the scene advising that they had run out of gas. Both subjects had a strong odor of alcohol on their breath, blood shots eyes and slurred speech. They admitted they had just left a bar just south of the location and had been drinking. Both subjects were taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 3rd Deputy Crandell conducted a traffic stop for excessive use of an audible device (Air horn/Siren) on a black Ford F150 in the 30600 block of Misty Meadow. The truck was operating a police siren while in motion. Upon making contact with the driver a 26 year old male subject it was discovered that the subject’s driver’s license was suspended. The subject had two prior convictions for the same offense. The driver was arrested for DWLI and transported to the South County Jail.

On December 3rd Deputy Crandell while conducting traffic enforcement observed a black Chevrolet Camaro driving south bound on SH 249 and then abruptly using the center turn lane to head north bound on SH 249. Deputy Crandell got behind the vehicle and ran the plates through dispatch. The registration of the vehicle came back expired by three months. Deputy Crandell stopped the vehicle in the 34700 Block of SH 249 in Pinehurst. The driver a 26 year old male subject driver’s license was invalid due to DWLI convictions. While conducting a search Deputy Suarez located Methamphetamine in a clear plastic bag hidden under the center console of the vehicle. The subject was charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance and DWLI and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch (Northwest County)

On November 30th Deputy Farmer responded to the 100 block of E. Ruskin Dr. in regards to an Assault. Investigation revealed where two adult siblings, brother and sister, were involved in a physical altercation where the sister was assaulted. The brother was cited for Assault (by contact), Class C Misdemeanor and left the residence. This case has been referred to Justice Pct.1 Court for final disposition.

On December 2nd Deputy Durbin responded to the 26000 block of SH 105 W in regards to Burglary of a Business (convenience store). Surveillance video indicated that a male individual forced entry into the business during the night and stole cash money and other store merchandise. The following morning a male subject matching the description of the Suspect was detained in the general area. The subject was arrested for Burglary of a Building and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 2nd Deputy Lowe responded to Waters Edge Ln. in regards to an Assault. It was learned that an adult male and female, boyfriend/girlfriend, had been involved in a physical altercation where the female was assaulted. Charges for Assault (by contact), Class C Misdemeanor, were filed against the male and referred to Justice Pct.1 Court for final disposition.

On December 3rd Deputy’s Kimpton and Favorat responded to S. Diamondhead Ln. in regards to an Assault. It was reported that an adult male had been involved in a physical altercation with both parents where the male brandished a knife while making verbal threats to both. The male was then arrested for Terroristic Threat (Family Violence) Class “A” Misdemeanor, in addition to Harassment of a Public Servant, Felony 3, after he spat on an officer. The subject was then placed into the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.

On December 5th Deputy Lowe responded to a local establishment in the 15400 block of SH 105 W in regards to a Disturbance. It was learned that an intoxicated male was causing a disturbance inside the establishment. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and an outstanding warrant and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On December 1, 2010, Deputy Ward arrested a 26-year-old male from the Woodlands for Driving While Intoxicated. The driver was unable to maintain a single lane of traffic, and almost struck several vehicles and structures on the roadway. Deputy Ward made contact with the driver after he stopped on Eden Elm. The driver stated he was there to visit a friend. The homeowner was contacted, and he advised that he did not know the suspect. After conducting a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Two prescription bottles (Hydrocodone and Carisoprodol) were located in the vehicle, however no charges were filed due to the suspect having a prescription for both.

On December 1, 2010, Deputy Conklin was dispatched to the Target store at 1100 Lake Woodlands in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival, he met with loss prevention officers who stated that the suspect, 19-year-old male from Tomball and store employee, had previously loaded $350 onto three gift cards without actually paying for the cards. The suspect then used the cards at two different locations, purchasing $349.97 worth of merchandise. The suspect was also observed, this date, loading a gift card with $200, and again, not actually purchasing the card. The suspect also admitted to taking $16.36 worth of merchandise from the store since his hire date. Total loss to Target was $566.36. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 2, 2010 at approximately 12:30 am, Deputy Frantz and Deputy Uber were dispatched to 1481 Sawdust in reference to a Child Abuse call. Upon arrival, Deputy Frantz and Deputy Uber could hear a child crying and screaming. They proceeded to the apartment where the crying was coming from, and prior to getting to the door, one of the suspects opened the door. Deputy Uber immediately recognized the smell of burnt marijuana coming from the apartment. Deputy Frantz and Deputy Uber went inside to check the welfare of the child, and found the 2 year old in another room. The room the child was located in had the window open approximately a foot and temperatures outside were around 35 degrees. The mother of the child was unaware of the situation until deputies contacted her. The suspects, 26-year-old male and 20 year old female, stated that they did not hear the child crying because the radio in the room they were sleeping in was too loud. Both were arrested for Endangering a Child and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

The following Shoplifting Arrests were reported:

12/1 – Deputy Rodriguez arrested 46-year-old female from Houston for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect attempted to take $229.31 worth of merchandise from Sears. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

11/22 – Deputy Ward arrested a 17-year-old male from The Woodlands, for Theft at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect attempted to take $94.88 worth of merchandise (video games) from Wal-Mart. After a brief chase in the parking lot, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
