WEEKLY REPORT BY MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On August 16, Deputies K. Berger and S. Squier were advised of a possible intoxicated driver in the 14000 block of Hwy 105. The Deputies met with Deputy Degner who had the vehicle stopped. The driver was found to be intoxicated. The 35 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:05am, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

On August 18, Deputy S. Degner was dispatched to a family violence aggravated assault call in the 20100 block of Red Oak Drive. On arrival, the Deputy met with a female and her common law husband. Both subjects advised an argument had taken place and the male got dressed to leave the residence. As he was leaving the female came outside with a pistol and fired a round at the male. The 42 year old female from Cleveland was arrested at 9:46pm and transported to jail.

On August 19, Deputy J. Kader observed a vehicle with several males collecting scrap metal on private property in the area of FM 3083 and Massey Road. The Deputy checked on the welfare of the males and found that two of them had outstanding warrants. A 39 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 3:52pm for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County and a 26 year old male from Conroe was arrested for an assault family violence warrant also out of Montgomery County. Both males were transported to jail

On August 21, Deputy K. Underwood stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of FM 1314 and Bert Brown Road. The vehicle was occupied by two males. During the investigation it was learned the passenger had dropped a cigarette pack containing methamphetamine. The driver, a 22 year old male, from Conroe, was arrested at 12:44am, charged with possession of a controlled substance and a motion to revoke warrant out of Montgomery County. The passenger, a 32 year old male, from Conroe, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both males were taken to jail.

On August 21, Deputy S. Degner (working DWI STEP) was notified of a possible intoxicated driver in the 15800 block of Hwy 105W. Another Deputy had the vehicle stopped on Deputy Degner’s arrival. The male driver was found to be intoxicated. The 22 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 10:17pm, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

On August 22, Deputy S. Degner (working DWI STEP) was notified of a possible intoxicated driver stopped by another Deputy in the 15600 block of W. Davis. Deputy Degner arrived and observed the male driver to be intoxicated. The 25 year old male from Humble was arrested at 12:15am, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

On August 22, Deputy S. Squier was notified of a family violence assault call in the 500 block of Robert E. Lee. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend in his vehicle. The male made advances toward her and she refused him. The male grabbed by the neck and pulled her toward him. As she struggled he tightened his grip. She was able to get away, getting out of the vehicle and running. He caught up with her, grabbed her hair and threw her to the ground. She was pushed to the ground several times. She had injuries to both elbows, forearms, hands and both knees. She also had marks on her neck from his grip on her. The 31 year old male from The Woodlands was arrested at 4:06am and taken to jail.

On August 22, Deputy S. Squier was sent to the 5500 block of Whipporwill Road in reference to a family violence assault. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her husband had been in an argument which escalated into a physical altercation. The male had struck her several times in the abdominal area. The male was located and detained. The 33 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 6:09am and transported to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On August 19, 2010 at approximately 3 p.m., Deputy Roberts was dispatched to 25650 I-45 N. in reference to a Disturbance. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant and the reportee, who stated that the suspect, Black Male 25 yrs old, had hit the complainant in the mouth during an argument. The complainant had visible swelling to her upper lip. Deputy Roberts contacted the District Attorney’s office with the case information and charges were accepted for class A Assault Family Violence. The suspect was located, taken into custody, transported, and booked into the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On August 20, 2010 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Deputy Hernandez conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling 57 mph in a posted 45 mph zone on Rayford Road. Deputy Hernandez made contact with the driver, White Female 21 years old from Conroe, who gave indications of being intoxicated. When asked where she was coming from, she replied she just left a bar on Rayford Road. The suspect was unsteady on her feet and appeared as if she was going to fall several times during the interview. After conducting Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and she was taken into custody.

On August 23, 2010 at approximately 5 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a Disturbance in Progress call at 2107 Sawdust Road. Upon arrival Deputy Jobe met with the witness who stated that she and her husband heard a disturbance in the upstairs apartment and went to check on the girl living there. They knocked several times before the suspect, White Male 24 years old from Salem, MO, answered the door and he was covered in blood. The suspect left. The witness found the complainant in the master bedroom. She had been beaten with a baseball bat and choked. She was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment and evaluation. While Deputy Jobe was meeting with the complainant, the suspect returned to the scene and turned himself in to Deputy Hernandez. The suspect was arrested and with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Assault Family Violence-Choking.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 8/12/10 Deputy T. Smith was dispatched to the 21000 block of Alden’s Oak in reference to a shots fired call. The reportee heard three gunshots outside and then ran outside and observed the suspect vehicle driving off. He then observed three holes in his neighbors van. Deputy’s then found bullet holes in the side of the residence and found where they had went through the home. Deputies were able to then locate the suspect and the vehicle on Kellington Dr. Evidence from the shooting was also then found in the suspect vehicle. The suspect, a 19 year old male, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief and Deadly Conduct.

On 8/16/10 Deputy Ortiz was dispatched to the Porter Walmart in reference to a Trespasser call. Upon his arrival he met with loss prevention and learned that the suspect had been given a prior trespass warning for the store and was now back in the store. The suspect was located and taken into custody. The suspect, a 23 year old male was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass.

On 8/18/10 Deputy Whit was dispatched to the Porter Walmart in reference to a shoplifter call. Upon his arrival he met with loss prevention and was advised the male suspect entered the store and began to conceal mens clothing in various plastic bags he had brought in with him. The suspect then left the store without paying for the items. He was then detained by loss prevention. The total of the stolen items totaled $58.50. The suspect, a 42 year old male was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 8/22/10 Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to the 23000 block of Loop 494 in reference to a Theft in progress. Upon his arrival he observed the suspect being held at gunpoint by the complainant. The complainant had caught the suspect stealing metal from his property. The suspect had taken $1,200 worth of metal sheets and loaded it in the back of his truck without the consent of the owner. The suspect, a 36 year old male was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 8/22/10 Deputy Ortiz was dispatched to the 21000 block of Tan Oak Court in reference to an Assault Family Violence call. Upon his arrival he met with the victim and learned that the suspect was highly intoxicated and had assaulted the victim by punching her in the face. The victim had a bloody nose and a swollen eye as well as a cut to her face. The suspect, a 30 year old male was arrested for assault family violence.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On August 22nd Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to the 28000 Block of Foxwood Drive in reference to a disturbance between two intoxicated males. The Reportee told dispatchers that one of the males had left before the Deputy’s arrival. The Deputy located the male walking in the road at the intersection of Foxwood Drive and Blue Jay Lane. The subject was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On August 2oth Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to the Prairie Rose Bar in reference to a Disturbance in Progress. The Reportee advised that an extremely intoxicated male was trying to start a fight with everyone. Upon arrival the Deputy detained the intoxicated male. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On August 19th Deputy Suarez was advised by MCSO Dispatch of a reckless driver traveling on FM 1488. Deputy Suarez observed the vehicle parked in the Dollar and More parking lot located in the 10500 Block of FM 1488. After observing the female’s subject’s eyes were red and blood shot the Deputy performed a Standard Field Sobriety Test. The driver was placed into custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Controlled substances and Meth were discovered inside the vehicle. Charges of Possession of Controlled Substances and Possession of Dangerous Drugs were added to her Arrest Record. The subject was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On August 19th Sergeant Sumrall observed an Orange S-10 traveling northbound in the 28000 Block of Dobbin Huffsmith. The truck did not have a front license plate. After initiating a traffic stop the Sergeant noticed the registration sticker did not match the license plate on the truck. Sergeant Sumral found a cigarette pack containing Crystal Methamphetamine. The subject was placed into custody and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On August 19th Deputy Holland responded to a dispatched Assault (Family Violence) in Progress in the Shady Oaks Estates subdivision. Upon arrival Deputy Hollan met with the Complainant who advised that a male subject had slapped him with an open hand and had slapped other guests on the property. The subject was uncooperative and attempted to leave the scene. The subject was taken into custody for Assault by Contact and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On August 16th Deputy Krolczyk arrived at the residence of a 42 year old male subject with an active warrant for Felony Sexual Assault. The subject was identified and taken into custody.

On August 15th Sergeant Russell was dispatched to a Disturbance in Progress. Upon arrival the Complainant advised that he and his wife were separated and in the middle of a divorce. When the Complainant’s wife arrived to pick up their daughter he noticed that she had been drinking and refused to release custody of the child. The female subject began assaulting the Complainant. After the assault the subject left the scene, but was later located by Sergeant Russell. The subject was taken into custody and charged with Assault Family Violence.

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On August 18, 2010, Deputy Veith was dispatched to a residence on Panther Creek in reference to a Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant who stated that the suspect, Black Female 15 yrs old, was being belligerent with her and destroying property in the home. Deputy Veith observed several broken items, including chairs, CD player and holes that had been kicked in the wall. Deputy Veith arrested the suspect for Criminal Mischief and she was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility.

On August 15, 2010, Deputy Borchardt was dispatched to the area of Timberloch Place and Six Pines in reference to an Intoxicated Driver. The reportee was following the vehicle and observed it sideswipe a retaining wall, almost run an 18-wheeler off the road, drive on the median, drive on the wrong side of the road and run a red light. After Deputy Borchardt and Deputy Underwood located the vehicle, a traffic stop was conducted, in the area of Gosling and Research Forest. The driver, Black Male 40 yrs old was from Conroe. After conducting Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and he was taken into custody. The driver’s two children in the car were released to their mother.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive:

8/11 – Deputy Ross responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 31 year old Black Female from Houston, being detained for shoplifting. The suspect attempted to steal approximately $133.75 in merchandise from Macy’s. The suspect was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. The suspect was also booked on an outstanding warrant for Theft.

8/17 – Deputy Houstoun responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 19 year old White Male from Spring, being detained for shoplifting. The suspect, who was also an employee of Macy’s, attempted to steal approximately $617.90 in merchandise from Macy’s. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

8/17 – Deputy Houstoun responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 14 yr old White Female from Elkhart, TX, being detained for shoplifting. The suspect attempted to steal merchandise valued at approximately $25.00 from The Icing, $38.00 from Abercrombie & Fitch, and $51.50 from Hollister. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility in Conroe.

8/18 – Deputy Houstoun responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 16 yr old Black Female from Spring, being detained for shoplifting. The suspect attempted to steal merchandise valued at approximately $75.00 from Macy’s. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility in Conroe.

8/19 – Deputy Rizk responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a 16 yr old White Male from Spring, being detained for shoplifting. The suspect attempted to steal merchandise valued at approximately $54.00 from Hollister. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility in Conroe.
