Willis ISD Board Member Arrested… Again

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Conroe Police arrested longtime Willis ISD Board Member and Past-President Cliff Williams for Driving While Intoxicated Tuesday night, but community members may be more surprised to learn it wasn’t his first time behind bars.

Clifford Franklin Williams, 43, of Conroe was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. He has since been released.

Williams, who now holds WISD Trustee Position 5, has been on the Willis ISD Board of Trustees for 15 years. He served as Board President during his last term and defeated an opponent to win reelection last November. Williams’ current term expires in 2026.

According to public records, Williams was previously convicted of Purchase / Furnish Alcohol to Minor.

During last year’s bond election, Williams promoted the slogan, “It’s as easy as ABC” with a sign in his yard and pics on social media. Those who voted against his reelection last year may be wondering if “It’s as easy as DWI”.
