WILLIS RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR INDECENCY WITH A CHILD

Willis resident and former Coldspring-Oakhurst High School coach and teacher has been arrested on a San Jacinto County warrant. The warrant charges him with Indecency with a child. According to the San Jacinto County District Attorney’s Office, Dennis Isbell age 39, had made arrangements to turn himself in to Harris County officials after the warrant was issued almost a week ago. That warrant charged him with Improper Relationship between Educator and and Student and Sexual Contact. He bonded out on that charge. When the new warrant was issued Montgomery County Officials arrested him. He is being held in the Montgomery County Jail awaiting a bond setting and to be transported to San Jacinto County.
The complaint states that Isbell fondled at least one students genitals and that being at Isbell’s Willis home. According to officials there could be more charges as more students come forward.
On February 25, 2010 School District officials Isbell had resigned as high school basketball coach and speech teacher.
In November Isbell was placed on administrative leave after school officials started an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct of an educator with students.
