The tornado that hit north of Willis on Saturday did extensive damage but no injuries. Many driving down I-45 were forced to stop to give way to the massive tornado cloud as it passed over I-45. Fish Pond Restaurant had some damage, an RV Park and repair center there suffered heavy damage. Travel trailers were flipped, a tree was through another and several were thrown onto Highway 75. Highway 75 was closed with multiple power lines down and trees. Montgomery County Precinct 1 responded to assist on opening the road. Dustin Rutherford, with Conroe’s HAzmat International responded with a Bobcat tractor and started immediately clearing the roadway. He spent several hours donating his time and equipment in the down pour and winds. Several witnesses described what it looked like.
